Very basic Geck use

Hi, Ive recently been looking at the geck, and reading about it. most of what I read seems too complicated for me lol, but I was hoping to be able to edit faces such as my character, Cass & Boone, so I tried it by editing them in the geck, clicking apply and saving, but they dont change in game, am I trying to do something thats not possible or is it much more complicated than Im hoping?

Also I detest all the useless bent tin cans, can I not delete them in the geck?

I appreciate that Im being very simplistic, I do understand if things are explained as if to a monkey lol. If its a case of creating stuff, I wouldnt waste your time explaining how to me. thanks for any help.

Yes you can delete all the bent cans :) One at a time. It will be a very long tedious process. Batch command has a tendency to crash the GECK and 90 % of the time at least in my GECK I can not even get batch command to even open. If there is fix for this or not I do not know. I searched the net before looking for a fix and and could not find one. The problem with the GECK is it is a very buggy tool. And that is also what takes most of the fun out of using the GECK. Any mod you are making you need to save save save. I save after almost every step I do. You will see ads claiming the GECK is a powerful tool and that is all true. What they do not tell you is it is a very unstable powerful tool. The GECK does crash and it crashes a lot depending on the type of editing that you are doing. Heavy edits such as rendering etc more crashes simple text editing less crashes but that is less crashes in a relative sense. Simple edits if the GECK runs with out crashing for a half hour or so I consider myself lucky. The GECK has no debug features,

The closest thing we have for a debug tool is this mod.

Do you have your GECK set up for the NVSE Launcher?
