FledglingZombie
One thing I've always wanted to see in oblivion is some things from some of my other favorite RPGs. More specifically, Neverwinter Nights/2, and KOTOR/2. Neverwinter nights and its expansions had some of the best and most imaginative objects i've ever seen. NWN/2 Dragon armor (Red, white, blue). Just all around cool looking armor. Could be functional as a full set?Enserric The Talking Sword. This is a sword from hordes of the underdark. It was pretty fun to use. A good weapon (especially if you upgrade it all the way), and his banter while you're slashing away makes him that much funner to use. Sythes, sickles, and quarterstaves oh my! But really, what's the deal with not having any useable staffs? I want to whack the vulk out of something with a cylinder of wood, god damnit! Maybe a slingshot type thing to use in place of a bow? You could make bullets buyable and such. Huge bosses! We need dragons, and uber-powerful wizards, and things like that to make the experience more epic. When you come up on the massive red dragon in NWN, you're stricken with awe. That's just from the top down perspective. A dragon of that size to fight from first person could be amazing. KOTOR Blasters!Sabres!Vibroblades/swords!Haha, how about all the companions from the games available as companions in oblivion? There would just be something magical about watching Bastilla kick a minotaur's ass. Finally, to be off topic, I'd love to see some content outside of cyrodiil's borders. Definitely going to be more if I come up with something. Nothing here sounds appealing to anybody? EDIT: Merged your posts. Please don't bump, it's against the rules of these forums. Thanks. ^^ - Switch
Vagrant0
Nothing here sounds appealing to anybody? The issue is that really what you want isn't something that can be done without some considderable effort, if at all. People aren't going to drop their projects just to do something you want to have done. Armor mods require either someone to make new meshes and textures, or someone who can make new textures for an existing armor mesh. Weapon mods have certain limitations, and some of what you want has already been done to one extent or another, or it simply cannot be done in any reasonable way. As for bosses, there are a few mods that have dragons, and most people would want a "boss" type enemy within something larger. This means having a project that would allow for something like that to exist while making any sort of sense. Additionally, there really isn't too much most people can do to make any sort of boss awe inspiring that wouldn't require a good portion of new, custom content. Since the vast majority (read all) of modders really can't do anything like that, it isn't gonna happen any time soon. So, I suggest searching for what was already made along these lines, and accepting that most everything else isn't going to happen no matter how much you, or anyone else may like the idea. Yes, some of it may be possible in time, but as more and more things get figured out (OBSE, meshing, animations) there are more limits as to what could be possible and what really is. I just don't really know the limitations of modding for oblivion or anything. Really not my strong suit.
DeusXMachina
Blunt Weapon StaffsStaff bashingCompanion NeeshkaScythes If you want harder bosses, get OOO. They may not be as huge as your red dragon, but they are harder than him.
