In trying to make a exterior pool or pond in FNV using the same water type that I used in a interior pool. I get clean healthy drinkable H2o but as soon as I step in the water to take a swim I start taking rads. I have used every water type that is healthy to drink and get the same result clean drinkable water but when in the water I take rads. I’m not the only one with this problem Bond123 is having the same thing happing to him and nether one of us has been able to fix it. :wallbash: Any one got a idea on how to fix this.

i get the feeling this was probably one of the first things you tried, but ya never know

hopefully im not stating something painfully obvious that you've tried already, but i figure it can't hurt

if i'm understanding correctly....your water type is clean when you drink from it, but causes rad poisoning when you physically move around in it

what has the world come to when even clean water becomes tainted by your sins (repent now child)

so at first glance i'd go to geck>spell effect>WaterHeal1Purified

clone it and name it "0xwatertest" or "0xjesusjuice", open it up and Remove all of the effects

now trek it over to geck>placable water>NVCleanWater - clone this as well, we can name it....how about you pick name this time :]

so we open up the clone - under the main tab "water color", switch spell effect to the 0xholywater-water, apply, save

after reading your 3 favorite chapters from the good book reinforced with a true believers prayer, 15 handless pushups & a healer's rattle snake bite

most effective while listening to kenny g's 3rd album

and...

water should be fairly neutral, no?

no as in yes, yeah?

apologies if reading this irritated you further by the paragraph not only by stating the obvious but the painful happy meal punch lines that lead to it as well

and if it helped....well god damn brother thats.... solid as a hardened mantis' scrotum

good luck/my bad/np/take care/help ive been kidnapped

No luck it’s not the water it’s the land, I went to the one place that I know has placable water that you can grab and move Goodsprings source and sunk a hole in the ground and put nvclean water in it to make a pool then in to game to test good clean water that you can swim in without taking rads but move one cell over and sink a hole and put the same water in and you get drinkable water but if you swim in it you take rads. I made the same test around the lakes you can make a pool next to the lake were clean water exist and get clean water that you can swim in move to a cell where there is no water and make a pool and you can drink it but if you swim in it you take rads. So it’s the land not the water and I don’t know how to work around it. But at least I now it’s not the water

so the environment is emitting rad damage sort of like 'black mountain' right?

if you like, you can upload a tiny plugin containing only that section/edit for me to look at

upon my resolving the issue, i could tell ya how/why/who....could probably attach it to a post...only

FOR THE LOW PRICE OF $99.99!

but wait...IT'S NOT OVER!!!

if you ACT NOW you get a life time membersh...kiddin

let me know if i can help im available ;]

p.s. here's a thought

perhaps when you go underground or a certain altitude, rads are automatically distributed for some insane reason

..that, or all of doc mitchells victims are fighting back from the grave - when cold case files returns

Bond 123 has a mod out “Bonds Prim Town House Upgrade” that uses an exterior pool model (I was trying to make a pond) that would be good to work with. Bond and I have been chasing this problem for two + weeks. If you want to look at his mod and see if were the mysterious radiation is come from it would be most appreciated. My head is bleeding so bad from banging it against the wall that it’s hard to see my computer lol. Here is the link to Bonds123’s mod

I don’t know if it will need script for a effect or what but a fresh set of eyes can’t hurt

ah, two + weeks you say?

i'm not gonna jokes cause that must of been frustrating...

i found the issue immediately after opening it

remember NVCleanWater that i had used as an example?

that was the -exact- culprit in this case heh, it was set to cause radiation damage

since that water is a default/one of the most used in new vegas, not only would you suffer rads when making your pond, just about about anywhere else as well!

a -really- safe and simple way to fix this actually, would be to do as i had mentioned earlier and simply use a "cloned" version of that water, and to DELETE the base/override reference restoring all of the mohave's clean water back into its natural holy state, demons be gone - amen

regardless, i have am uploading a 'fixed' version for you that restores placable water>NVCleanWater to its default state as well as ULBathhouseWaterType

i cloned NVCleanWater, and named it 00ULBathhouseWaterTypeclinsterclone , which is now used in 00AjrNVCleanWater2048x2048 instead of the damage causing error mixup

in other words everything is 'fixed', and default game water is affected no longer

hey

enjoy ;]

p.s. all edits made with fnvedit!

ive had problems with placeable water too in the past, but i searched around the forums and heres the answer to your rad problem

you have to right click your cell (ex. Wilderness -1,3) and click edit. In one of the tab's there will be a box that says "Has Water" and make sure that that is checked, then you need to change the water type to the same water type as the placeable water you are using

now you should be rad free and enjoying your pool!!!!
