JalynnArrow
I've been trying to find something related to this, but I can't. I have a few modder resources for adding animals installed (I think correctly) but when I tried to add the animals to my mod there were funny animal-color blobs. Some were blobs with heads attached.I have 4 that I am trying to use:Mr_Siikas farm animals: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14265Little Baron Mouse Resource: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36200RK9s Dogs Modder Resource: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29102Oblivion Cats v02b: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2912 I know the cats one is not a resource, but I don't see why it would be having the same error if I tried to use it as such. The dog one is having a different error than blobs. The bodies are showing up invisible and the heads are the purple of missing texture. I'm thinking it is in the way I installed them, since the dog's head and body are separate in my files. I successfully used Mr_Siika's farm animals before, so I don't know why that would be happening. I just installed the cat and the dog mods recently, so this is the first time I have tried to use them. I can provide screenshots if someone wants them and tells me how to take them. Launius
Are you trying to add them to the CS or to the game? If you aren't 100% sure that you installed them correctly, I would double check that first. If you have NifSkope, check out the models to be sure they are okay. While doing that you can also check the texture paths. I wouldn't really know what else to advise without more specifics to your situation. Location is not set in stone provided you are setting up your own .esp. As long as the models are in the meshes directory and the textures are in the textures directory, you should be able to access them using the Construction Set. Anyhow, be a little clearer and I'll see if I can't help out more.

The farm animals and cats are installed correctly because they show up within the game in their own mods. The dogs and mice resources I am assuming are installed correctly because I double checked the paths and used the same method of installation as the others and followed the readme instructions on all of them.I think the problem with the cats and dogs is related to the fact that the .nif files for the head and body are seperate. I have only used inanimate objects before now. The method for adding them to the CS is to drag them from their file location to the CS object menu. I am trying to do that with the animals and I'm thinkig that that is incorrect.
Launius
The nifs available for a creature are those in the folder with the skeleton.nif selected for the creature. To add or remove a nif from being available on the Model List Tab, simply put it in(or take it out of) the folder with the skeleton file.
