Unstable fallout 3 modded wanderers edition

Hello my name is Matt and was needing to know what might be going on with my fallout 3. First I will tell you what is going on.My fallout 3 with some mods like wanderers edition keeps popping up the windows error about fallout 3 has stopped working. I get this error at random times. My first question is, is fallout 3 crashes or errors like this common place? Is this a normal thing i just need to get use to while enjoying these mods? If it is not common place then that would mean that I am doing something wrong. The game can run without crashing for hours or mins. Its just completely randon. Utility programs i am using include FOMM, FO3Edit, FOSE, and the validator. I will also add that when i install a mod i do it the easy way just by dropping the file into the data folder. I know this is the lazy way and it makes it harder to uninstall mods but this is something that i deal with. Ok not for my BOSS load order.

 

this is my game directory. I did have it out of the program x86 directory but had to put it in there to run fo3edit because it wouldnt let me choose another directory and it wasnt showing my mods or even masters. The .esm and esp. are in bold just like what is shown in the fomm.

Please if you see any problems with this I would like to know so i can try and fix it. Also another thing is I am getting this message for almost all my .esp. "WARNING: This plugin has the file extension .esp, but its file header marks it as an esm! " I'm sure this can be anything good. I have all master files.

 

Ok also when i do an error check of my fallout3.esm master, I get a whole lot of error messages. Actually way to many to put on here without it taking up the whole board. Is all this normal or is there just something really wrong? I have done a fo3edit master update as well and that didnt seem to stop the random "fallout 3 has stopped working" windows message that I get. Please if anyone could help me that would be awesome.

 

Also my computer specs are:

ge-force 580 video card. oced

ok you poor sole, I will help you but you must do exactly as I tell you to do ok. One glaring Issue I see right off the bat is that you have both FWE Followers Enhanced plugins active. You can only use one or the other [since you have Broken Steel you need to use the Broken Steel one] - if you used the FOMOD installer with FOMM then it would have told you during options selection [though, for me, it still activated both - as well as plugins I didn't choose to activate like Alternate Travel]

Heres a link to solve all your problems. Pay attention to the part about fo3edit. and making a merged patch. Notice the load order. And whatever you do get the fake full screen mode mod.

ok update. I reinstalled everything, and it was working fine. It took almost 2 to 3 hours before it pops up that fallout 3 has stopped working. I then did the foedit update "fo3masterupdate". After this update I get all these "WARNING: This plugin has the file extension .esp, but its file header marks it as an esm! " on almost everyone of my .esp files. My game also seems to have that windows error a lot more after the "fo3masterupdate" update. Is there a way to reverse this without me having to completely reinstalled everything? I was told that this fo3masterupdate would help things not make them worse but all it seems to do is make them worse. Here is my new load order now,

I also fixed the Followers Enhanced to where I am running only one and its the right one. So, any ideas?

 

I also have a question about the merged patch. When I do the merged patch isnt it suppose to say when its finished patching on the right because mine dont. It just seems to get stuck on the last plugin. Also when i start up fomm, am I only suppose to have the merged patch checked or what? I noticed that some things are working with only the merged patch and some things i still have to have checked. If I am only suppose to have the merged patch checked for some reason like i said not all of my mods work with just it checked and i have to go back and check some of them to have them working. Anyways please help thank you.

so...... anything else on any of my questions? I am still wondering why the fo3masterupdate is messing things up. Does anyone else have this issue? Also other questions from the above list.

The main reason this creates problems is do to the fact that the Master-update feature Flipped on and esm flag for most mods Not designed to run as an esm format. Most esp's seen on the NEXUS are non finalized types. Some are. Flipping on the esm flag on a finalized esp changes how the havoc engine treats the code as well as disturbing that way the math of said files are processed. Get a slew of these doing this in theory should allow smooth game flow. But sense all esp's are not alike, and each containing different and Mostly conflicting codes used by different authors will disrupt the flow of the processing of the data. Error generation becomes over abundant and pushes the engine to it's limits. Massive conflicts occur and as a result. CTD,clipping, stuttering, Freezing, No launching, hangups. You name it. Very few people are fully abbressed upon this fact or have the knowledge to apply the correct formats to alleviate these issues. So all this gives us One heck of a challenge to over come, learn from , devise solutions too. A co- Operative knowledge base is required to accomplish goal mush like the company that created the games in the first place. The NEXUS web site is still growing, Now a new forum with a chance for all this to come about has a possible out come of this to take place.

Awesome man thanks for explaining that to me mechanic. If there is some way that we can chat regularely on steam or another program that would be awesome. That way to can see if you can help me in any way.
