Bernt
Does anyone know of a way to get your own face into FO4 as a preset - apart from trying to create it in character generation. I used a tool named "FaceGen modeller" to transform my face into a 3D model and successfully made a preset in New Vegas. I would like to do the same in FO4. But I cannot remember how I went from an "fg" file to something the game could read. Any ideas?
TheOriginalEvilD
I'd like to know as well. I tried freehand and it just didn't turn out right.
DizzasterJuice
I think FaceGen can export as .obj file, then Max can import, rig, and export as a nif. I'm not sure if Blender tools can handle the new nif files yet. I don't use Blender.
JimboUK
Facegen Exchanger was the app used to transfer FG data to a FO3/NV save.
Gratus
Surely it wont work anymore without updating as the base Face Model has been clearly updated the morph results wont match. Edited February 21, 2016 by Gratus
DogtoothCG
Hey man, as it stands, this wouldn't be an easy task for even the most adept modder. Without creating a brand new head model, you'd need to own Facegen Customizer to reimport the F:4 model and morphs, which takes easily 8+ hours for Facegen to configure it. Beyond that, the process is the same as you experienced in FG modeler, save for the possibility that the origin point of the model ingame may change during the process, in which case you would have to go in and do a whole hell of a lot of work to get it functioning.
