Averam
Hello people.... Look.. I tried everything... How did it happened? "C:\" was giving me trouble... So I decided to replace it (went for a 240Gb SSD) but before installing windows 10, I made a backup of all the contents of the documents folder (including "My games" for the savegames, etc...) No games are installed on "C:\" they're all distributed among different HD's. Then... after the OS was ready, downloaded and installed Steam, and path to libraries, and NMM, etc... Then... My new SSD is small so I decided to move the location of the "documents" folder to a different drive, all went well... (its pretty easy to do) all other games that rely on "My games" folder were tested and all ok. Then... proceeded to activate all my mods on NMM and everything seemed well... Fallout 4 loaded with the usual warning of missing content, but after tempering with the files I thought it was fine... my last savegame still... but my girl is bald and invincible... Then I realized no mod was loaded... that was 3 days ago. Since then I tried: Move Library, re download game, install everything from scratch, ini files, ownership of files, REINSTALL THE OS TWICE, reinstalling NMM, changing the path of mods and right now as I type this out of desperation, I'm re downloading Fallout 4 again, last attempt failed, I tried to put everything on C:\ (NMM and mods and game) but my girl still bald and invincible. I ran out of ideas... Everything was fine before replacing the drive, and I been modding games since Oblivion... So... not too noob... (i'm no expert tho) So... If you had the strength to read my problem thanks in advance, and if you come with something I could have missed... I'll love you with no end...
FurAfterDark
First, i believe this should be in Fallout 4 Mod Troubleshooting, and second, NMM, Fallout 4 and it's mods HAVE to be on the same drive.
Averam
Yes sir... you are correct, my post in in the wrong place, sorry for that... I know that, also you can "multi drive it" if NMM is opened as administrator, but tried placing everything in the same drive, but no dice... I mean is a very strange thing that I must overlooked. But, hey... thanks for your reply. :)
Michlo
Odd, I'm having the same issue. I had a problem with OneDrive (again) where it was creating duplicates. I had to unlink until I get that sorted. I have checked the ini files in my SaveGame folder, and they still have the archive+instructions we must add to the end. I have deactivated and reactivated the mods through NMM. None are loading.

I've looked but haven't seen it mentioned. Cheers.
Averam
Hi... I'm sorry to hear you have my same issue... So far... unresolved... I never got that error on your screenshot, my NMM loads fine and everything looks in place. I'll keep trying though... If I find a solution, I'll post it here. I can't go back to playing with no mods. I'm over 600 hours in! Heh.
Michlo
Well, I made some progress, of a sort. I discovered that my Fallou4.ini kept on reverting to one without the needed additional text, despite it not being read only. After a bit of messing about I decided to not only completely uninstall Fallout 4 and delete the directory but also the "My Games" Fallout 4 directory (after backing up a few saved games, of course) and the Fallout 4 directory under our user profile\appdata\local directory. The first launch, in order to create the INI files, went fine. I got to the main menu and I could see the image of my save game. I didn't load it as I knew I wanted my mods back. Then I edited the INI files as required and loaded up NMM. I deactivated all of the mods (they are still there, looking activated but are not in the plugins folder as they aren't actually in Fallout 4 yet since the deletion).I activated just two mods (both keyword ones) and went back in. As soon as I hit a key to bypass the traits video (or, wait for it to complete) I crash to the desktop. Is a CTD progress? Heh. Bah, this is frustrating. Michlo
Further progress. I discovered that there is a second Fallout4Prefs.ini file under Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout4\Fallout4. I don't know why. This one had slightly less text in it. I renamed it to .bak in order to keep it and then copied the version from My Games. Loaded up, no CTD. I activated a couple of mods. I got the warning about needing to edit INI files. Odd, I thought. I checked and both of the files still had the additions we must make. Loaded up, still no CTD. Merrily, I then activated all of my remaining mods. At the menu screen I could see that my save game still did not have mods (I can tell by the lack of plants, etc.) but I went ahead and tried to load the game. CTD. *sigh* So have I now solved the first problem only to be left with a load order issue? That is my hope. Off to tweak the load order.
