Malchik
One of the very first posts I made on this forum was about number of in-game days characters had spent questing through Morrowind. The answers were very varied but several referred to spending many sleeping by the creeper or the mudcrab merchant. IMO this is not the most useful thing to do. My character never sleeps. The most is one hour to level up. When I have enough to sell to the creeper I take the five grand max and then train twelve times. Then I return to the creeper to get another 5000. There are many trainers in Caldera including a master trainer in Sneak to start you off. Then using the mages guild teleportation there are city trainers including master trainers in Security and Short Blade (Balmora), Blunt Weapon, Heavy Armour and Acrobatics (Vivec), Mysticism, Illusion and Speechcraft (Sadrith Mora), Conjuration and Block (Ald Ruhn). If you have downloaded the propylon index quest as well this gives access to and from Caldera to additional master trainers Axe (Marandas), Marksman (Falasmaryon), Alchemy (Valenvaryon) and Enchant (Indoranyon) - not that the last is that easy to get to. In the initial stages the cost of training is less than 5000 so a store of cash builds up. Later the training costs more but by then there can be trading in ingredients - Nalcayra, Abielle Chriditte (Valenvaryon) and Ajirra will give you almost 7000 between them - clothing and jewellery and books every 12 training units too. If anyone feels that the game could be too unbalanced by levelling up so quickly, train in skills that are not major or minor ones. I'm sure many of you already do the same but for those of you who get annoyed at sleeping day after day to sell your goods, the above is a more rewarding approach IMO.
