MajorMurray
Hello. This is my first time using this forum, because I need some serious help. I was going to install nVamp, so I was going to delete all my mods to do it. I kept thinking, how would I be able too, there was so much. I downloaded about 14 mods, 2 of them changed core game files such as animation, and core textures, so I thought, why don't I delete the data folder. I thought about it, but eventually did it. I uninstall and re-install Fallout Mod Manager, then I get an error after I re-install the files and mod manager, "Something bad has happened." It told me to go to documents, so I did, and I got a crash log or something. I don't know much about computers, at least not stuff like this. I have steam by the way. I will post the crash log below, Tuesday, May 17, 2011 - 11:34:02 PMFomm 0.13.21OS version: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7600.0 System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\FalloutNV.esm' because it is being used by another process. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share) at Fomm.Games.Fallout3.Tools.TESsnip.Plugin.GetIsEsm(String FilePath) at Fomm.Games.FalloutNewVegas.PluginFormatProviders.BoldESMPluginFormatProvider.HasFormat(String p_strPluginName) at Fomm.PluginFormat.PluginFormatterManager.GetFormat(String p_strPluginName) at Fomm.MainForm.RefreshPluginList() at Fomm.MainForm.MainForm_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnCreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl(Boolean fIgnoreVisible) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) If anyone could tell me what is wrong, please do, if you know how to fix it, please tell, and if I'm an idiot, please say that as well for I was more than stupid by deleting the Data folder. I had Steam verify the game cache, that's how I fixed EDIT:Re-installed the files that where in the data folder. If I to uninstall completely please do tell me, because if I don't get any feedback in a few days, that is what I will do. skyline99
Your best bet is to re-install FNV then see if FOMM continues to act that way.
MajorMurray
Well, I figured out what happened. After hours upon hours, and more hours, and just a large amount of time I do not care to measure at this moment. I decided to load up Steam, but it didn't work, after those hours I was talking about, I repaired Steam, but something was blocking it. It was a small anti-virus I used a year ago before I started using Malwarebytes. Since I had not used it in such a long time, it thought that it should take control, and block almost all actions on my PC, it is what blocked FOMM, Steam, and so many other programs I thought weren't working. So I fixed the problem, no need to longer worry, thanks to skyline99 for giving advice.
