Saddle Bags for Horses

Which saddle bags mod would you recommend?

I've got to find a way to realistically carry loot to merchants/house.

I prefer Kuertee's Horse Commands v4. Saddlebags and a bunch of useful commands. I also use Espless Slofs Horse Replacer for visual effect since Kuertee's saddlebags are virtual, not visible.

The only one I've tried is #2, and I recommend it. Turns your horse into portable storage. :P And yes I use Slofs horses with it.

#2 is very old and hasn't been updated. It doesn't have any bugs per your experience? How long have you used it?

You need the textures from Slof's Oblivion Horses but not the esp or meshes. I should have been clearer :)

Forgive my newb question, but how do you just get the textures out of Slof's Oblivion Horses mod?

 

Also, you said you use now a home-brewed mod, meaning you made your own mod?

In the Slofs Horses 2.0 archive there's a folder 'Textures'. Extract that and either use OBMM or BAIN to install it or just place it in your Data folder. But unless you are nearing the esp limit it's probably easier to just use Slof's esp. If you want the 'Nightmare' replacer for Shadowmere you'll have to anyway.

 

My 'mod' just replaces the Legion horses with Clydesdales. Zira has recently released a mod which does the same. If I'd known I probably wouldn't have bothered but it's fun playing with the CS and pretending to be a real modder :D
