nyde21
After playing Demons souls on the PS3. I feel in love with that game. I love how the game has very little to no story (dont really care for stories). And I LOVED how challenging YET "rewarding" the game experience was. Another game I love is Killzone 3. Just love all that hectic and hellacious fighting. I'm a pretty aggressive person that loves action. How can I re-live that through New Vegas? What can I do (or add) to make the game more exciting? Yet more challenging and rewarding.
Moraelin
Hmm, well, probably the easiest way to make it more combat oriented would be to just get IWS. It adds a lot of enemies. And a LOT of enemies if you also get the modules that multiply them further.
nyde21
But what about more "rewarding" like that of demons souls. Demons souls didn't have a lot of enemies. But man! It was one of the best games ever! Challenging and rewarding.
dafi536
What do you mean by, "Rewarding?" Different thing make an experience more/less rewarding, depending on the individual. What exactly made your experience with Demon Souls so rewarding? Identify the specifics, and perhaps you can recreate those factors in FONV. Quetzlsacatanango
Have you considered that a role playing game might not be for you?
nyde21
Demons souls was challenging. It punished you if would fail. But highly rewarded you if succeeded. How did it reward? With awesome gear. With weapons. With currency. Xp etc.
Moraelin
Seems to me like installing IWS and upping the difficulty can make it as challenging as you wish.
ita
Turn on Hardcore mode and set the difficulty to Very Hard -> the game becomes a lot more challenging.Kill people and critters -> get rewarded with awesome gear, currency and experience points. /thread
Moraelin
As for awesome gear, well, there are a few that sell it. There are people who made pretty awesome weapons and armour. So you could just use the GECK to set the prices as high as you wish, and consider killing all those criters as saving up for the big reward. And some actually put good gear on some boss or in some hard to get place.
nyde21
Lolita, doesn't hardcore mode just make the game into a simulation. I read that many people did not like hardcore mode. That there was nothing hardcore about at all. Just made the game more boring. Others have said that if anyone wants increased difficulty to just increase the difficulty. But to never set the game to hardcore mode. Btw...turning the game into hardcore makes critters and people drop better stuff??? Is this what hardcore does?
