w3stcoast Posted February 21, 2016 Share Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) So I found in the XComGameCore files some text that says HQ_STARTING_MONEY and Monthly funding, starting engineers, etc I edited the file to test out tweaks and when I boot the game up and start a new campaign, nothing. I get the default starting amounts in all those categories. What am I missing in trying to edit the ini files? I've seen mods for editing starting staff up, none for starting funds or monthly income yet. What am I missing? Do I have to download the mod tools to edit the files? Changes to files in My Documents\My Games\... get written over by the game. For your personal use, back up the files in the steamapps\common\... area, and change those. Also, I am not positive that the *Score values relate to starting staff members.
