Melee/unarmed Hotkey?

I would absolutely love to see a mod that enables a quick slash/punch with melee/unarmed weapons while you have a gun out, at a touch of a button! Like how modern FPS games have.

 

I can see how the weapon changing system may be clunky, but perhaps you can increase the weapon changing speed with the hotkey (I believe I've seen one or two custom perks that alter that after certain conditions). Quick draw and high agility can compensate for it, I think (works for grenades pretty well anyway).

 

A mod like this would make me wet my pants.
