i am trying to figure out how to get med-x, when used, to make the player say "yeahhhhh" or "ahhhhh" like when daytripper or daddy-o is used. for the life of me i can't figure out witch parameter would cover this in fo4edit.

any sugestions or could one point me in the direction to a tutorial, since i'd rather figure how to do it than have it done. if that makes any sense.

You need to change the "Sound - Consume" entry in the "ENIT - Effect Data" section.

tried this to no avail, i changed the sound to be the same as daddy-o and all it makes is the injection sound not the "ahhhhhhhh"

Alright think I got it figured out. Theres a script in MGEF "FortifyIntelligenceDaddyO" FormID 2466EC that uses a keyword to link it to a dialog topic in the DialogueGeneicPlayer quest, there's entries for the player to say either "Ahhh...." or "Yeah...." and its titled PlayerChemLines.

Just need to copy the VMAD section from that MGEF into one of the MGEFs for med-x and you should be good.

im so green i have no idea what VMAD AND MGEF'S are but i added the FortifyIntelligenceDaddyO "DaddyO: Fortify Intelligence" [MGEF:002466EC] effect to med-x and changed PTRN -Transfom to FoodInjector [TRNS:00248D5E]. thanks for the help, now my toon is hooked on morphine diacetate and says yeaaaaaah with every fix!

Haha all good. Glad you got it going.

Heres a step by step if you wanted to clean it up so you didnt add the Int boost and just have the sound.

  1. Copy as override FormID 2466F6 MGEF FortifyDamageResistMedX (its the damage resist magic effect that med x applies)
  2. Find FormID 2466EC FortifyIntelligenceDaddyO
  3. Select it and the MGEF override you made by holing ctrl.
  4. Right mouse click on either MGEF and hit Compare Selected
  5. Click and drag the VMAD section over to the empty spot.
  6. Save and done!
