Need help with collision exporting with the 3ds Max nif plugin

So I decided to start trying my hand at changing models. I got the plugin to work fine, it imported the model, and I eventually figured out how to make the changes I wanted (I'm trying to turn the Sentinel site bunker into a craftable structure, and only the outside was fully modeled. On the inside, the model only went partway.

 

After figuring out I needed to add collision meshes, I did (following the guide on the niftools wiki), and when I went to export it as a nif, it won't let me tell it to export the collision. If I change it to export it using Skyrim/FO3/FNV as the target game, I can toggle collisions to export, but the mesh won't work in game (just get a floating red box with an exclamation point).

 

I am using 3ds Max 2016, and have the lastest version of the nif plugin.

Edit: To see if it was a problem caused by my edits, I tried importing the vanilla nif again, and I still couldn't export that with collision.
