How many mods do you run now with the latest Patch?

So I was wondering how many mods people are now running with the latest patch.

Reason being is because I get the feeling, the more and larger seized mods one runs, the less smoothly the game loads them and the more crashes there are with the new Patch versus older ones such as 1.2.0.314 or 352.

I feel that game stability seemed smoother with older patches running the same mods I am now running versus the new patch.

Anyways, wanted to hear thoughts, opinions and maybe even facts if possible.

I often only merge mods if they're weapons and armor, or if they're mods that probably aren't going to be updated anytime soon. I could actually merge more mods but I don't like the merge mod to have too many masters. It only has 4 amazingly: FNV, Dead Money, Caliber and Selective Fire. And yes, it's placed where it is for a reason. ;)

 

Also recently, I removed some mods to see if I could get under 100 total plugins. For some reason, it seems more stable the less plugins I have, despite having the same amount of content.

Not particualy long, but "Base changes" is a lot of merges ESP's+ a lot of modification to NPC's armour stats ect. seems to crash every hour to 2 hour for me, but that was the same per last patch.

I am currently trying the NV Configator out.

Some Game Settings adjusted through that seem to have the same effect as the 3GB enabler, which from what I understand allows the game engine to handle more data from mods to be processed etc...

Had a mix of a couple of landscape/weapon texture replacer packed in BSA. Less mess to clean up. :thumbsup:

 

 

-Merged Advanced Recon Tech/Gear, XFO into one ESM

 

-Merged 3 of the Improved Sound FX esps and Unlimited Companion Ammo into Weapon Mod Expansion.esm :D

 

About the HonestHeartsCheats.esp it's just weight limit increased to 2000 instead of 75/100 and companions can take with you to Zion :devil:

I actually have already 30+ mods merged into the plugins you see in my above mentioned list.

There are perhaps a few more I could merge, but that would require making the file it's being merged to dependant on Dead Money.

Like my Recipe Custom Gas Bomb esp: If I merged that with Explosive Recipes & Explosives Enhanced esp, then it would make the plugin depended on Dead Money.

And if I wanna turn off the DLC, then I would have to turn off the Explosives mod as well =P

I used to run 160+ mods before but with all the merging I have already done, I lowered the list by around 20 -30 mods.

Although I could merge XFO into one file, hmm....I think I'll do that today lol
