Giggsy
Hello! Is there a way to change race while in-game, and get the correct powers? Ex. I don't want to be an orc anymore, but when I change my race through -console "openracemenu", I lose all of the powers...all of them!I don't gain the powers of the new race ex. Nord. Insted I lose all powers and my skills drop way down. Is there a way to change race correct, and with every power, when a game is already started? Thanks for your time :)
ItWotBeSoonBeforeLong
Yes you have to do showracemenu on the consoe. Then you make any changes and save with the consoel still up.Then, keep the console and the race menu up and load your save game. Giggsy
No, that doesn't work! When I load the saved game and check my stats, I am missing everything! The Gray Prince' training, the birthsign perks (10+ strenghtn 10+ agility Warrior). And how can I change my name of my character without closing the console?MY character is named "Hemula The Orc".... strange name for a nord :) I wanna change my character from Orc, to Nord :) This is what I do :-undresses my character(all ecnhanted armour and weapons).-unequip rings and basically everything that adds to my stats.-open the console, from third person view, and type the racemenu command.-as I alter my character(change race, hair colour and such), I leave the console open.-I leave the name, for now, since I have to close the console to alter it.-I am done! My new nord is ready! Esc, and save the game to a new place!-As the game is saved, I click on "Load Game", and load the newly saved game.-The Nord is ready for Cyrodil, but all my powers are gone....no frost resist, no magic resist(orc perk), no gray prince training :( How can I truly fix my race, to ANOTHER RACE and still keep all my achivements? Thanks for your time :)
ItWotBeSoonBeforeLong
Are you sure you saved with the consoel open.
Giggsy
Yes, I am sure. The console stays up the, and is ,annoyingly, in the way as I alter my character.I save with the console open, and I disappears as I load my game.Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for your time :)
Povuholo
I don't think that just having the console opened will make it work. Try following these instructions.
Giggsy
I don't mean to be rude, but sir, thats what I've been doing the entire time.I have followed the guide, but it still messes up my characters stats.Do I have to start a new game for this to work? Then I have to do everything over again.I hate doing the slaughterfish mission over and over and over :PDoesn't anybody have a solution?I have done exactly as in the guide. I have version 1.2.I use frans mod and plenty of other mods.Any mods that screw this up? Thanks for your time :)

Giggsy
well, most of my mods, are mods that add armour and weapons, and Francescos mods, which adds some custom races.I don't wanna cheat  Does this solution work for you guys?Is it something I am missing? Do I need the OBSE or something for this to work? Thanks for your time :)
Sypron
I think you just record your stats and skills then use the console to correct them. To get things like the grey prince's training back you can also use the console (it counts as a spell effect). This website http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Oblivion should help you with doing that.
