A Unique Chainsaw

Alright, so you read the title. You clearly know what I want.

Or rather, what I ask for. No one's done it. Or at least, done is right, or openly.

Everyone messes up, and ends up making the chainsaw into a God Weapon.

I don't want that. I want something that better then the basic chainsaw, but still give the enemy a chance to fight.

So what I request is this: A Chainsaw that isn't Over Powered, but isn't weak. Maybe even a new texture.

SO a few ideas to boost the damage:

-Faster Attack Speed

-The ability to use it like any other 2-handed weapon (swinging it I mean)

-Higher Damage

-Longer Range

-Special Moves (Like the Bumper Swords Forward Power attack, or the Super Sledges forward Power attack. If I had to choose, I'd go with the super sledge's)

 

Now, as for the texture (and maybe a name, or vice versa) are:

-The 13th, a blododied up chainsaw like Jason's (if you don't know who that is, get out.)

-Deathclaw's Mouth, The chain of the Chainsaw would be made of teeth, and the overall appearance would look tribal.

-Industrial Cutter

-Chainsword

 

By now, your most likely going "Why the hell don't you do it yourself?"

Answer: I suck. I don't care for modding, model designing, or coding.. I'm great for concepts and ideas and that's about it.

And breaking stuff. I'm notorious for that. So if anyone wants to take this one up, sweet. Just know, there's no payment, just fame and glory. And although it doesn't sound like much, I'd be obliged to give someone ideas for things, as my tastes constantly change, sometimes radically, and sometimes in minor ways. So yea. i'd also appreciate some ideas for the Unique Chainsaw.

How were you thinking it would look/work, like the regular chainsaw, or something like a chainsaw on the end of a Super Sledge handle, like a heavy Ripper/chainsaw sword? The tribal "Deathclaw's Mouth" and the word "chainsword" just put Skorge's chainsaw staff from Gears of War 2 in my head, but a single-bladed version.

 

Sadly, I'm just an idea man like you, no modding ability, but this put a few ideas in my head. After playing Honest Hearts, a tribal chainsaw on a stick sounds amazing to me.

Well, the way I see it, the Chainsaw would be a normal chainsaw (aside from a new texture). Find a raider with a chainsaw and that's what I'm thinking. They don't do like the PC, they swing the chainsaw like it's a two handed weapon, while it's still revving of course. Or you could go into vats and do the special move with it, "Scrapyard" is the move.

 

As for the specials, the Super Sledges forward power attack animation, but with a chainsaw.

As for Skorge's chainsaw, it's a possibility. I wouldn't use it myself. Not my style. But then again, swinging something like that might be fun.
