spiritshadowx
It's frustrating when you wait 10 or so minutes for your mod to upload, only to say 'A file exists with the same name'. It can sometimes be frustrating, and in a blind rage upload your private time folder upload the wrong file, or don't bother at all. It's very basic, but it can be a commonly missed change, which results in a long upload being denied. My idea instead is that rather than having the server realise a file exists with the same name, the new implementation of the green/red border check could be further used to check the names of previously uploaded files within the mods page in case the name entered is the same as one of them. I appreciate your time to read my rant, and will likely be ignored, but it was worth a try.
KDStudios
I've never experienced this problem personally, I generally make unique names for my mods. However I do see a problem here and because of my slow internet have had uploads timeout. So I know how it feels to have a mod not upload even if they are completely unrelated circumstances. This feature would be lovely to see as no one would have to worry about it.However due to amount of mods and files on the nexus it may be a time consuming feature so that might be why it won't be implemented. But one can hope :)
Thandal
This is one of the areas that Dark0ne has identified for imnprovement in Nexus 3.0. Specifially that the input process will cache all the other information when it does the "mod/image filename validation". If something fails (duplicate name, illegal characters, etc.) it will retain all the additional data and let the uploader fix just the problem entries.
