Ginsu23
Will somebody please do a Shadowrun conversion for this game? I think it would be relatively easy since most of the game mechanics already exist in Xcom 2. ranger=street samurai/adept, specialist=rigger, gernadier= crazy heavy weapons guy, sharpshooter= gunslinger/sniper backup, psi operative= mage/shaman.. (close enough, anyway) IMO Xcom 2 is already the best Shadowrun video game that's come out since the sega genesis version. It's already better than the new wave of Shadowrun returns games. Let's be honest here, the only reason we like SRR is due to the Shadowrun setting. The gameplay is mediocre at best. Sure, in SRR you can put a sword on your street sam, but the mechanics of the game make it pointless. in Xcom 2 the ranger's sword is actually useful. The specialist already hacks into enemy systems with a drone. The grenadier carries a gun that really should be mounted to a tank. He blows s#*! up and dont give a f*#@. See what I mean? The core stuff is pretty much there already. Alter a few abilities and classes if you want, throw in some cosmetic items, rewrite the story a bit and BAM! best Shadowrun game ever. Turn Advent into a mega corp and it makes total sense. Maybe the elders that run the corporation are awakened beings of some kind, or just leave them as aliens, works either way. The Spokesman is the fixer that gives you work. As for the base building part of the game, idk. There are good-hearted factions in the Shadowrun universe, perhaps one of them set you up with a fancy airplane base. Adding alternate player models for dwarves and trolls would be the tricky part, but I personally can live without them. I'd much rather see this happen than another long war project or something. Azworai
I believe http://dragonpunk.org/ is working on a rather similar, but not quite the same, project already.
