Ratman258
I have no clue if it is possible to add a non-human class model, but would it be possible to add a SHIV-ilke replacement in XCOM 2 which uses combat dogs? It would be a cool concept, but since there are no non-human character models present in XCOM 2, I'm not sure about the possibility of adding one, logistics-wise. As tech increases, the armor the dog wears could be upgraded, and, if some sort of weapons are mounted (also not sure about this possibility) they could upgrade as well. If people know any way to do this, or have had a similar thread post/idea, let me know~~~ EDIT: This would fit in well with the stealth concept of the game, while also adding a non-human squad replacement. It would also play into the notion of a ragtag group of people (at least in the early game) fighting back with low tech and high discipline, since high-tech would not be available to the resistance at the beginning of the game Edited February 26, 2016 by Ratman258
Joshuahoeth
would be very interesting if it was done right
Ratman258
Yeah, I don't think they'd even need a skill tree, because if they were like the SHIV they would just gain extra skills as their tech increased

BadgerBrownCoat
I rather thought the new drones were going to be shadowrun style "rigger's" drones - a little disappointed they are in effect just a range extender and immune to enemy fire.I rather expect "shen's gift" will be something like a shiv - an AI class mech
Ratman258
Yeah, I thought around those lines as well. I was pretty disappointed too, because this game is so much harder (imo) than the first one but you have no replacement for wounded soldiers, which there are many of. Or maybe I need to rethink my strategies...
