Because contrary to popular belief, on the internet != free to use. Legally, I am the creator, owner, and copyright holder of the content of my mod. I have given legal permission for people to use it in their game, but not to take it and use it elsewhere to try to make money. So, yes, his taking it was quick and easy. But it's still theft.

 

I thought it was pretty cool that the Japanese site I found (that links back to Nexus and isn't covered in ads) listed my mod. I did not think it was cool at all that some schmuck is trying to profit off of my work and the work of others here.

 

Pal, in real no one cares except you. You naive like if you connected to internet just yesterday. If fact that someone else makes money on you so much, then became this one and make money on yourself, sell you mods, not share for free. If permissions and copyright stuff bothers you find some DRM platform, but i doubt such exist for mods. There always will be someone who will download and reupload your mod if it good enough. It's a unwritten rule of Internet.

@OP suggest using the mod authors forum there is loads of threads about simular stuff and less random people who seem to think they speak for everyone.
