PunisherX100
Here are some great settings for the Nvidia Control panel and Oblivion. You can set these as defaults in the panel and force them for any or all games. I set these to force on for all programs. Clicking the setting will give you options.I should also mention that I am running these on a system with 2 Gigs of RAM and a C2Duo E6600 CPU overclocked to 3.348, but they should work for anyone. Terms are abreviated but run from top to bottom:AF 16XAA Gamma C onAA Mode Override any app settingAA Setting 16XAA Transp Multisample (works best in Oblivion with other settings this high)Conf Hardwareerror rep OffExt Lim OffForce Mipmaps TrlinearMultidisplay Single[Texture F Off] grayed outTF Neg ClampTF Quality High[TF Trilinear Off] grayed outThreaded Opt OnTripple buffering OnVSync Force Off (definitly do this) You can set these for specific games and force them on. In Oblivion you can use HDR and let the Nvidia control panel automatically take care of overriding the Anti Aliasing to 16X. It is really SWEET. Iwill post the Oblivion game settings below tomorrow:

Iwill post the Oblivion game settings below tomorrow: Thanks for this post, I have been struggling with the whole HDR and AA issue for a couple of days and knew there had to be a way around it. I have an 8800GTS so I had to scale back the settings slightly. Did want to add that I used the NVIDIA Control Panel to make the settings application specific. If you haven't used it, give it a try - Within the manage 3D Settings there is a tab for "Program Settings" which permits attaching specific settings to an executable. One gets the best of all worlds, can use the hardware overrides for those games that require them and the global settings when they aren't required. Thanks again for starting me down the right path.
