bwalsh199
I started using mods yesterday. I exited fallout 4 today to print something up and i believe while i did that Fallout auto updated. When i went back in to play all my mods were gone. They all show as active in NMM but when i start up the game the "Add-Ons" section is completely empty all of a sudden. Anyone experiencing this or know how to fix it?
Michlo
Unfortunately, yes, happening to us too. Unfortunately, no, haven't figured out a fix. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3821840-i-cant-for-the-life-of-me-make-mods-to-work-again/
bill8872
Use this http://f4se.silverlock.org/Fo4 had a small Beta patch update, so it will not work with that, but they do update f4se within a day or two.If you not using the Beta patch build 0.1.5 will work. Or start the game through NNM, that keeps mods from disabling as well.

It wouldn't be stopping all mods from working as we are finding. I always use NMM too. It is just bizarre.
bill8872
It bypasses the steam launcher just like starting it through NNM. I have never had a issue with mods uninstalling or not working. I should say not to many issues with them not working. As long as there patches do nothing too messed up I have been fine using it.The latest Beta patch did not mess me up to bad. Only had to delete the workshopmenu.swf from data\interface folder due the change in there workshop menu.

Have I missed a step? Cheers.

F4se goes straight into the game start menu, which is why I like using it more than NMM.
Michlo
I finally have my mods back! :)Unfortunately, I can't pinpoint the exact problem. I can only tell you the steps I took. From the looks of it, it may have had something to do with NMM itself. Having already tried an uninstall and wipe of everything FO4 to no avail, this time, I did the same but also did an uninstall of the Nexus Mod Manager. I then slowly started to add mods back until it looked to be working and then I added all of them. Despite the menu still showing no Add-ons (due to no GECK involvement, perhaps?) my mods were all back. Now I did have to do some in-game work to restore such things as new beds, water towers, plants, etc. but it was worth it. My level 99 (now 100) character could get back to the world he expected. ;) As an added bonus, all of my mods went through their initial setup questions, some of which had changed with updates yet hadn't been refreshed upon updating. Final added bonus is that I'm no longer getting the XML warning upon starting NMM.I hope this helps.Cheers.
