augh! <modname>_ModShaderCache.upk problems

So, we have discussed on a couple of threads about the mod shader cache file. I definitely have a problem with this and I don't know how to control it. When the file is 1Kb in size, all my upk graphics come out black in game. When it is 80MB in size, then my graphics are fine. Today, when I am building and publishing the mod, it is 1Kb, and I can't get back the 80MB one. Some players are now complaining of this black color.

The mod is Armor Variety, this link:

And this player submitted screenshot of the problem:

If the file is 1KB and it is supposed to be 80MB, how do I get back the 80MB one? I have rebuilt with modbuddy and it stays 1KB.

Firstly, carefully read this conversation (focus on post #9)... http://www.overclock.net/t/1553142/shader-cache-setting == NVidia

AMD == https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/3u5jkd/whats_shader_cache/

Then -- do me a favor. Trust TrackTwo's solution. It's as solid as it will ever be ***UP Until*** Firaxis devs have permanently nailed the Stuttering mess involved in dispatching gigantic amounts of custom textures (supplied by mods like yours and competing for CPU+GPU cycles, high or low) in many different PC-Hardware configurations.

Some people may complain about "Blackened" effects and none of us have control over their VCards Drivers nor how they're setup to absorb that much Caching stress.

Size(s) of a LOCAL file may seem predictable (or representative of troubles, btw)... but IMO -- the transitions patch/fixes currently under global-test will certainly require final adjustments. Sooner the better for all of us -- and Steam DB bandwidths.
