Shrinking NPCs and resized races

After installing MMM I noticed that the races have been resized and females made shorter and smaller. I am 100% sure I didn\'t select \"resized races\" optionduring the installation. I removed the mod anyway, but the resize didn\'t go away!! Also some NPCs seem to shrink during battle. I\'ve seen skeletons half the size of normal. What\'s going on? :(

Well, this is getting weirder and weirder. I just reinstalled the whole game (cleaned the registry beforehand). I didn\'t install MMM this time and I currently have what you see in the list in my first post. I start the game and what do I see? Resized races and women in a size of children! Well...

 

I think both problems are linked because the shrinking happens only during battles and only to female NPCs. Although... monsters also seem to shrink sometimes.

 

They shrink to 50% of their size. And it seems that they grow back randomly after a few minutes.

 

Is there a mod altering sizes of NPCs that I could put on top of it all? Usually that helps, but I can\'t find anything useful as of yet.

Hmm, what happens if you disable Animal Resize and Attitude Adjustment?

Well... I just tried removing all mods leaving only oblivion.esm. And guess what happened. The problem still persisted. What does that tell us? The core game files have somehow been altered?

 

I\'m pretty desperate at this point. I just want to play the game already. :/

Ouch. Try making a new female character and see if it happens. You might have had a corrupted save game, or it could be an .ini problem.

It can\'t be a corrupted savegame, I have many of those. Can\'t be ini problem, I\'ve already tested that. None of the issues seem to affect the player\'s character when played as female. Yeah... I know what you are thinking, I am clueless too.

 

I\'ll give it another reinstall this time checking the game after every mod that I install. If that doesn\'t help I\'m done with it.

I hope a reinstall fixes it. It's a problem I've never heard of before. You might want to back up your bsas right after you reinstall, just in case. Never heard of anything like it. :/

You were right, it was a corrupted savegame after all. Damn so much trouble over a savegame... It was very strange because some savegames were corrupted and some wern\'t. Right now I have all the mods except MMM installed and the shrink glitch is gone. But I don\\\'t know what to do at this point. Install MMM and try again? It\'s a great mod. Maybe install the older version of it, I think it didn\'t cause the shrinking bug. Hmm, I\'ll have to think about this a little.

 

Edit: I installed the older 3.0 version and everything works perfectly so far. Thanks. :)

It\'s possible that the new version is bugged or something, anyway I don\'t have the guts to risk installing it again, I\'m satisfied with how it is now.

 

If someone has experienced something similar and can tell me more about the new version of MMM and this bug, PM me please.

I'm glad it was just saved games. I'm afraid I don't run MMM so I can't be much help there. I'd be very curious to know what caused this bug and how it works. I can think of potentially interesting ways an effect like that could be used in a quest, if there is some way to do it without corrupting saves.
