SkoomaSteve
I've installed all the resource packs, 4.9.0, 4.9.6, and then 4.9.7 but I'm still getting a truck-load of missing textures whenever I try to go to any of the cities. I installed them all with OBMM. I'm running the most recent patch, the unofficial oblivion patch, OBSE, OOO, and alt start. That's it. Help. :/
Telyn
Have you done archive invalidation? Redirection is the method most recommended currently. It is the default method in OBMM.
SkoomaSteve
I thought the unofficial patch did that automatically? I ran it through the OBMM archive invalidator and still nothing. I redirected, and did not click off the other box at the bottom before hitting update. It seems that SOME textures are missing, not others. A few crates and lights. I reinstalled yesterday after having the same problem and its still occurring. I even re-downloaded the files. I dunno. Mortrix927
Which alt start? Is this the first time you've installed BC, or are you updating?Have you tried the Official Thread? Once your there, if nothing else, you can PM Display name is already in use or Ismelda Lambrosa and they will definitely be able to help you. Telyn
The unofficial patch does not do archive invalidation. You can either do it in OBMM or you could download and install ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated.
SkoomaSteve
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11495 This one right here. I'll try a manual archive invalidator but I didn't seem to need that last time. I just reinstalled oblivion after completely removing the game from my PC and registry and restarting, etc. I skimmed the official thread but there was nothing really said besides make sure you installed the resource packs first, which i did. burr. Edit: The manual method didn't provide positive results either. Edited May 24, 2011 by SkoomaSteve
SkoomaSteve
Still no positive results. I guess I'll do the IDForm to see what the textures are missing from, then maybe I'll have to go into the BSA and have a look around?
LordEmm
@SkoomaSteve, have you tried Refskope? a great mod that lets you know exactly what is missing IN game. It even lets you print out the missing references using Conscribe or Pluggy. Helped me with MANY problems and conflicts. You don't need to have it on for actual gaming, but you can activate the mod after saving in a problem zone...
SkoomaSteve
Tried Refskope, can't seem to figure out how to obtain the texture or mesh PathIDs. (It won't let me select them IG, jut everything else around them by holding X and activating.) Update: Holy cow, I think Oblivion itself is missing textures. I just uninstalled BC completely and I'm still getting missing mesh icons. Edited May 24, 2011 by SkoomaSteve
Mortrix927
Do you have retail, steam, or d2d? If you have steam, you can verify the files. It should also do this automatically next time it updates.
