Please make objectives more than simply a fail condition

Currently, excluding VIP escort/capture missions, it does not matter if you complete the objective of a mission beyond being a secondary fail condition. I was not aware of this, but for example, on a mission where your objective is to destroy an alien relay before it completes its transmission, and you destroy it before the time runs out, you will not receive any benefit besides stopping the turn timer if you do not proceed to kill all the aliens. I would like to request a mod that changes this to where as long as you complete the primary mission objective, you will receive the mission rewards (NOT the alien corpses / loot on the ground, I mean the rewards you get when you normally complete missions (Scientist, Engineer, supplies, veteran soldier). When I first started playing this game, I was very pleased that it had become more objective oriented rather than just a "Team Slayer" focus like Enemy Unknown. Now I realize that it is still Team Slayer, just with an arbitrary timer that prevents you from camping.

 

Another example is the very first mission (non-tutorial gate crasher) where the objective is to plant explosives and destroy an alien monument. Thematically, this should be a hit and run type situation where XCOM drops in, kills some ADVENT, plants the explosives, and gets out before more ADVENT show up. However, the objective does not matter, and there isn't even a timer on this one. The way it plays out, you just take your time to kill all the aliens, and after they're all dead you have someone casually go up and plant the explosives.

 

I'm fine with the timer, but I do not believe the objectives have enough weight on missions. After you complete an objective, you have no reason to evacuate besides the lives of your soldiers, because if you leave, it will be just the same as if you had failed to accomplish the objective before the time ran out. Evacuating should not be punished if you have completed your main goal. Killing all the aliens and taking their corpses for loot should be treated as a secondary objective. Please make a mod that makes objectives matter, and become more than just a turn timer.
