Raella69
Alright, I haven't been doing too much of Fallout for quite some time. That said I've fallen behind with the times here in the modding world. I'm wondering as of now what are some good mods to have? I am very aware that this is subjective but I want opinions. Just note that I do not like things that conflict with Lore (usually). For example, I do not need to fight Stormtroopers in the Mojave. However, I find the laserkatana mod that came out a few months ago to be rather nice (even though I have yet to try it, it looks pretty cool) Another mod I like was the Nevada Skys mod with the Weather Effects. Good stuff, and so was Project Nevada. That's all good stuff. So Nexus, throw at me what you will and tell me what's hot and what is not. Also any major updates to previously successful mods. Thanks a bunch! -Rae
Unlimitedrevolver
I think these mods are pretty good(in my opinion), and seem pretty lore-friendly Hope this helps. Utilities: Fallout Mod Manager/FOMM - http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36901A mod manager, it contains mainly useful functions and a clean interface for managing mods. Archive Invalidation Invalidated! - http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35935Allows for custom meshes/textures to be in-game. Might be included in FOMM. Better Oblivion Sorting System/BOSS - http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35999A mod sorting system, this prevents conflicts with other mods by using a list that tells whether others have had conflicts and sorting them accordingly. New Vegas Script Extender/NVSE - http://nvse.silverlock.org/A script extender that is used in a great deal of mods, it is a necessity for most mods. FNVEdit - http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34703A very useful utility which performs multiple functions such as merging mods, cleaning them, etc.http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38413 - this link is for the training manual on how to use this. Perk Every Level - http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34707As the mod name suggests, this mod allows you to gain a new perk every time you level up, just like in Fallout 3. Has incompatibilities with "Level 100" which can be fixed(read the mod's description for more details).
