lecosmic
Hey all, I'm new to these forums but I've been playing Oblivion for a long time. I'm always amazed and impressed at the quality of user mods available. I was particularly impressed with the mod that added "Thief" game skills to Oblivion, thus totally enhancing that character role. What I got to thinking, and this is a total geek dream, is that there could be an Aylied class equivelant to the Starwars Jedi. Most of us play a good mix of mage and warrior anyway, with the Paladins being a very popular and classic combination of spirituality and divine purpose mixed with weapon skills. For the Aylied spiritual warrior class to be like a Jedi, well they would have to have skills and spells [force powers] that reflect the origins of the idea. So like vampires having the levels of their power increasing over time, so too could the force powers of the jedi character evolve. They would be better at jumping, having speed powers and healing powers as standard. They would have a special form of life detect, force push and pull obviously....maybe even some form of mindtrick that made them invisible to a single target and some kind of projectile deflection skill which could defend against arrows and maybe even some spells...the possibilities as endless. What I think is potentially cool about this is that most of the powers which are related to the Starwars Jedi are already in the game, either normally or through Mods, like the push spell from Pj's compendium...all I'm proposing is putting a system into place to bring it all together and make it really fun to roleplay. COurse there would have to be a special anciet lightsabre like Aylied energy weapon, hopefully as part of a really tough quest once the player gets past the first few levels of their force advancement...and the Jedi robes etc....it could be sooooooo coool. I am of course expecting someone has suggested this already, like I say I'm new. If by any chance someone wants to do this, I'd love to be invovled, though I confess to having no mod skills at the moment...I am very good at ideas and story scripting. Cheers, Mr K.
