eXecator
Hi, my confusion level is well over 9000. I always thought mod files are located in one ofSteam\SteamApps\common\XCOM 2\ModsSteam\SteamApps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame\Mods But both folders are empty, while I do have several Mods installed. Even my good friend google does not help me out here. So sad... :-( Can't find anything under Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame either.Whaz going on? Anybody likes to help me out? eXecator
Found them, but underSteam\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\618977388 Is that how it works? Seems kinda odd.
davidlallen
That is how steam workshop works. You can install mods manually or with NMM in which case they go under one of the two directories you mentioned. When you start the game, it surveys all three directories, and gives you a picklist of the mods from all three. In case you have the same mod in two different places, I am not sure which one you get. This is particularly a problem after you publish a mod on steam and then make a new version locally: you will certainly have two mods with the same name, and it is important to know which one is picked. I have never done this myself; I unsubscribe from my mod so only my local version is available. But other people have said that if you have both, the game prefers the steam workshop version. Did that raise, or lower your confusion level? :-)

traenol
From what I have noticed with steam/manual mods ... I tend to copy all the steam mods to manual install and stay subscribed so i can get updates, but only play using the manual install ones(to avoid losing saves to other peoples random choices). What this has done in the loader has given me a list of all my steam mods with the workshop icon, and then below that all the mods I have manually installed without the workshop icon.http://imgur.com/O30JuXL
