MrRedMarshmallow
Hey guys, so I've put over 150 hours into Fallout 4 now and something has been bothering me the whole time: I have no clue who will give me quests and who won't. I'm tired of walking around just trying to talk to every NPC looking for quests and wasting my time when I could be out exploring. So I came up with an idea for a simple mod. Simply put, the mod marks quest-givers on your compass so, again, you can know who will give you quests and who won't. I've got an idea on how it could work, but I'm in no way a modder, nor would I have any idea where to begin, but I was thinking that it could maybe work like the system that marks enemies on your mini-map in combat. For example, when you are in combat, you see enemies on your compass marked with a red square: so what if quest-givers were instead marked with a green square on the compass while you're out of combat? The system is kinda loosely based on The Witcher 3, in which any quest-giver is marked with an exclamation point above their head. A system like this in Fallout 4 would really help those that get tired of constantly switching to their browser just to look up who will give them quests. Anyone else think that a simple mod like this would work well in the game? Better yet, are there any modders out there that know how to do this and would be willing to make something like it? This is my first post in these forums so if I did something wrong just let me know. Thanks.
