Obmm trouble

Every time I try to activate the OBSE, my obmm will not recognize the file. It shows the "decompressing" box and says 94%; then it shows this message:

-An error occured while activating this mod.

It may not have been activated completely

Error! Access to path is denied.-

I used default settings on everything when converting it to an omod, changing the "plugins" bullet to the "Data files" bullet and adding the following files:

1)obse_1_1

2)obse_1_2

3)obse_1_2_416

4)obse_editor_1_0

5)obse_editor_1_2

6)obse_loader

in accordance with the readme.

I am using windows vista.

Note: I changed the compression rate to very high after failing several times. I recieved the memory message, but got no error as it warned.

If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. I am trying to use the denock arrows mod as well as the decapitation mod.

I went to elderscrolls and downloaded the newest update, so that should not be a factor in determining if OBSE v0011 will work on my game (it says it will not work on oblivion v 1.0).

If there is another way to load the obse, please tell me how.

i download the obse files. then try to convert them to an omod so i can activate it in the obmm. then the above mentioned error occurs and it will not go onto the activated side.

additonally, i tried redownloading the files from the silverlock website and it still didn't work. ive tried getting the file maybe 7x with no success.

plus i am new at modding so it is almost impossible for me to troubleshoot myself. I am not as computer saavy as i would like to think i am.

Additionally, I tried cleaning the omod I created from the files and it replied: o deleted, 0 skipped, and 6 files not found. Six is the exact # of files the readme says to copy. One time I tried loading just the loadr by itself and it said 5 files not found. (the exact # of remaining files.) i find this odd. Does the order of the files have some sort of an impact on the functionality of the omod?

Type 7z443.exe in google, download it and install. Then unpack Obse using this program and install manually.

I downloaded the 7 zip and i unzipped with it. I then opened this folder:

C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data

which should take me to the appropriate data file.

I then copied the required files into the oblivion folder.

However, upon the activation of the loader, which claims that it must be in the same folder as the oblivion.exe, gave me the same message as it gave me before, which says that the file must be in the same folder as my oblivion .exe file

You should unpack Obse to C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\ , not C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\. To run the game use Obse_loader.

I did that and it still said it wasn't in the same folder. It also said something about a "checksum."

I went back into the mod manager and upon activation, recieved a message about it conflicting with other mods. i am only running streamline and denock aroows (which doesn't work b/c obse is not active), and recieved a fatal error message.

Lets see what there is in the readme about the checksum error:

" You may have a version of Oblivion that isn't supported. I have the english official patch v1.2.0.416. Localized versions with different executables or different patches may not work, but many have been successful. If there's enough legitimate demand for it, I can add support for other versions in the future.

- Your Oblivion install may be corrupt. Hacks or no-cd patches may also change the checksum of the game, making it impossible to detect the installed version."

2. I bought Oblivion & installed it from the cd

3. I got the newest patch available from elderscrolls--eng official...

4. also when i start the game in the bottom left corner it says my patch number, so...
