raventrigun
Hey guys I have a problem with my Fallout New Vegas I have the most recent patches and Dead Money with Honest Hearts I have a long list of mods. Well my problem is when I went to Dead Money I noticed that the game gets so laggy it seems like I am going in slow motion (Low FPS) but all of a sudden it speeds back up to normal speed and then I can play my fluid gameplay and then it slows back down. It tends to fix itself why I am talking to someone or when I load into a new area the quick load into the last area you were in doesn't help it. Here is my list of mods.http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/560/dlclist.jpg/
raventrigun
I tested it at Different Qualities and Without NVSE it takes a lot longer to lag without NVSE I still am running all mods I might try adding mods one by one but they don't seem to be the problem I don't understand the only thing different from this time and last time I installed Fallout New Vegas is The New Broken Hearts DLC is installed. It feels like I am talking to myself.Alright using Fraps I used a FPS Counter to Log my Speed in Game and The FPS during slowdowns When on the menu it reaches FPS around 158 FPSLoading it drops to 20 FPSIn-Game when Working Normal - 48-50 FPS (On High)/ On Medium Default - 60 FPS (I am using V-Sync and my Refresh Rate is 60 hertz) / Low - 60 FPS (Will jump higher than that but V-Sync tends to keep it in check)When the slowdown occurs- 4-5 FPSThen randomly jumps back to normal FPS but it is irritating due to the fact it happens quite often about 3 times every 10 minutesWhen I hit ESC why its running at 4-5 FPS it jumps to 60 FPS if I exit it will hit 38 FPS then drop back to the 4-5 FPS withing a second. I have installed the newest Video Driver for my NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 512 MBI am running a Intel Dual Core @2.5 Ghzand 3GB of RAM Any suggestions? rdy3220
You are talking to yourself. But I have the same problem, and I want to find a solution too. Also, NVSE just flat out doesn't work for me and the slowdown never fixes itself (or at least I haven't put up with it long enough for it to). raventrigun
I played Fallout New Vegas before and never had this problem I proceeded to wipe my Hard Drive load Ubuntu and then Backtrack and then XP and then Vista then Back to Windows 7 by then Dead Money and Honest Hearts came out.I tell you its probably the patches not the DLC because I turned them off and it still happens. raventrigun
Thanks for the suggestion I tried playing the game without any mods the only things I had enabled were the DLC's and it still ended up happening I went on a killing spree and it finally lagged up showing me that its not NVSE or my mods it has to do with the Patches or DLCs or some wacky computer thing. I have played Fallout New Vegas before the DLC's Came out and never had this problemI am going to try without the DLC's.to narrow down the problem.
