First thing you should have done is duplicate the problem in a new game start. Start a new game an see if it still happends. Though if you can duplicate the same problem with the mods now removed then just try duplicating it inside a new game start. Start a new game, play it for a while an don't be like you were in the other game, be a complete opposite, an see if the problem ever happends. Some folks report that un-installing Visual C++ as well as the .NET framework family fixes some wierd crashes, but you probably don't even have them installed in the first place, Steam support suggests both 32 bit an 64 bit on some O/S but you would need to read that yourself. It's also good to just play the Vanilla game without mods or tweeks for a while after you just installed an updated it, this way you know if there are any problems with it before you install mods.

Disable autosave an never quicksave or use the continue button. Press Esc an create a new save game each time. Don't delete a save game until you are ready to delete them all. Disable Steam Cloud, Disable Steam automatic updates for this game. Exit FNV an relaunch it ever 2-3 hours, re-boot your computer every 4-8 hours, Don't leave your computer on all the time. Don't add an subtract mods as you please while using the same save game. Wait till you are ready to start a new game to change the mods. You can add mods to a save game an it will automaticly fix itself most of the time, but it's a risk. Cleaning the mods fixes a lot of problems. Master Update on this game will fix a few things. If you have a lot of mods, like 50 or more you need to use a merge patch or bashed patch.
