bipsisms
I've done pretty well muddling my way through the rest of my mod-related problems, but this one has me stumped. I'm using the mods listed at the bottom of the post (plus some that don't affect faces in any way), and I'm having issues with the face textures (complexions) for human females and dwarf females. The face morphs themselves have changed based on Dragon Age Redesigned, etc, but the skin textures seem to still be the original textures (very dark eye circles) instead of using Dracomies Textures VI. I'm thinking it's because of a conflict somewhere, but I haven't been able to locate it. None of the males are having this problem, and female elves aren't either (most likely due to DA2 elves being installed). To start, here's what HF complexion 1 looks like. As you can see, it looks like she's been punched in the face. All of the default complexions for HF and DF have those dark circles to varying degrees. It's not affecting added complexions. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/922/73PYFX.png So far, I've tried the following: * Deleting the Head Morphs folder from Improved Atmosphere (Improved Atmosphere\2.Modules\2.2.Characters --other users have reported that those head morphs conflict with DAOR)* Uninstalling and reinstalling Dragon Age Redesigned (following the instructions in the mods readme--install Dracomies first, to the override folder, then install NPCs, then Companions)* Moving Dracomies Textures into the main \override folder, instead of in the \DAOR folder* Going through other mods and removing anything that looked like it might affect face textures* Uninstalling the game, downloading it from Origins again, then validating the files in the install (which worked for another user who had a similar problem). My mods: (not shown)...\face folder: "elf ears" and "white teeth"...\npcs\companions: "Wynne-The Flip Side" http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/3789/? (with face textures present and not present--no change) ...This PC > Documents > DA Mods > mods > dazip > qunari update and the Ser Gilmore Companion mod (none of the others should affect any characters faces) http://imageshack.com/a/img922/8506/2vnqen.png If anyone else has fixed a similar problem, any help would be appreciated! Or, if anyone could point me in the right direction as far as what types of files can affect the face textures, that would help me pick through my mods to find any conflicts. Thank you!!! theskymoves
Have you installed a hi-res general texture replacer? There was one popular replacer that stealth-included very grainy, bruised-looking default face textures. *thinks* JB3? Something like that... In any event, a search of your override for DDS textures with the prefix 'uh_hed_' is in order. ETA, that I do, in fact, see JB3 in your screengrab. bipsisms
You are a LIFE SAVER. That is exactly the kind of help I was looking for. I don't have time tonight to pull the uh_hed files out of JB3 and test the game, but I'll post an update tomorrow. Hopefully that'll fix the problem and it'll be case closed! :D
bipsisms
SUCCESS! The uh_hed files in JB3 textures were indeed the culprit. Thanks so much.
