The purpose of this thread is to allow downloader's and potential downloader's of my mod Colonised Freeside to ask question about the mod/give suggestions/give requests and to report any bugs/problems or disapprovals. This is also a great place for people to offer their services to improve upon the mod and ultimately the game.

 

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

 

When will 1.5 be out?

Well I am expecting to release 1.5 in about a week to two weeks (Around the 10th of June)

 

Is it compadible with other Freeside editing modules?

Depends, if it is another overhaul like 'Project Free Side' then no, but if it is a interior then there is a high chance it will be fine as long as the exterior space it occupies hasn't been edited by my mod, also I plan on interiorising most buildings (1.5 will feature three) anyway so these will eventually be incompadible. I will try to make compadabilty patches but there is only so much I can do.

 

Why am I getting lag?

As it stands Colonised Freeside is a fairly demanding mod, and since the game mainly utilises the CPU of a computer I have laid it out like this:

Single Core CPU: Why the hell do you have one?

Duel Core Weak: Lots of lag.

Duel Core Strong: Decreased performance and stuttering, maybe the occasional crash.

Quad Core i3: Similar to the strong Duel Core.

Quad Core i5: Less stuttering and lag but maybe the occasional crash.

Quad Core i7: Very little performance hit.

Quad Core 2600: Same as i7 but slightly better.

Computer From Space: Go back home you alien!

 

Is This Compadable With RePopulated Wasteland?

In essence no, for it becoms very buggy and increases lag jumps, also this will increase NPcs in the area and I have want to specificly control each and every NPc so the games look becoms much less appealing with both mods active. I will try to convince the author of the mod to make a compadability file where Freeside isnt effected.

 

Please leave constructive critics, anything else I will simply report to the administrators and you will be banned.

Wow, those screens look great. I especially like the marketplace. So dense and complicated. It makes Freeside look much more like I would have hoped and expected it to.

Only reason I did not use the mod is because of the performance hit, it makes it impossible to go around and enjoy the stuff with all the crashes. D:
