Deleted6803565User
So I just downloaded an amazing mod, Legacy of the Dragonborn. In the mod there are male and female mannequins side by side. Now wooden mannequins kinda creep me out, especially the female ones in Legacy lol, and I would like to make them look human while keeping males and female. I have tried Make followers look like followers, didn't change anything. So I was simply going to change the mannequins by taking a female follower from Bijin Warmaidans. Iona specifically, and copy the files over. As far as I know as long as I don't publish this I can do that without permission? Anyways after some trial and error, I managed to replace just the body with flesh by coping over a femalebody_1.dds and renaming it mannequinbodyf_0.dds (think that's the exact names not home atm) No the issue comes with the hands, feet, and head. There are no hands or feet mannequin parts in the Legacy folder so not sure how to replace that. There is a mannequin head but not sure what to replace it with and how to also get like the hair, makeup, and eyes etc over as well. As for the male, all that's in his file is mannequin underwear, 2 files forget the exact name. Also I seem to have another mod adding mannequin textures, its some patch for RS Children which is weird...think its the Legacy patch for it....anyways TL;DR how do I reskin mannequins hands, feet, and head? what do I eplace? freddark
The easiest way to change mannequinn into your favourite character is : in the CK find the mannequin NPC file, open it, and under the traits tab bottom left corner "Actor Base" choose Iona and tick the 'use traits' checkbox. You're done. Happy modding Edit : Sorry you will not find an actor named Iona. It's Housecarl Riften Edited March 1, 2016 by freddark
Deleted6803565User
so I can do this even if Legacy of the Dragonborn uses custom female mannequins? or I assume they are custom...
freddark
I have LotD as well, and if I remember correctly LotD adds a female mannequin, while the male mannequin is vanilla. I changed both of them using the method I mentioned. The male mannequin change is global and affect every mannequin in the game world.
Deleted6803565User
awesome seems super simple then! Go I open legacy and bijin warmaids in the CK, go to where the female mannequin is and open traits, then lead that to iona from bijin and boom done? never used the CK before sounds simple enough lol is it possible to change the male mannequins in LotD without changing all of them in the world by chance? also can I change mannequin textures mid save without issues? I play both male and females so just curious Edited March 1, 2016 by Guest
freddark
Open the CK by checking skyrim.esm and LotD.esp only. Then do what I mentioned. Unfortunately the male mannequin change is global as it is a vanilla asset. To make the change LotD specific would require a lot of work.
Deleted6803565User
ok well then not going to worry about it lol, if I ever get another house mod ill cross that bridge then though with LotD why would I ever need that haha, do you know it using CK to change mannequin textures and bodies mid play through would cause issues? Id guess no since its textures but I don't know a lot so
freddark
Doing this change midgame is not a problem. In fact I use this technique to duplicate the looks of many npcs in my game all the time mid-way during play, especially the minor ones. So Katla looks exactly the same as a dead adventurer found in Geimund's Hall. Have fun

freddark
I don't get what you mean by "put new esp in LotD folder" You are supposed to make this edit directly in the LotD.esp, and it will work. The npc file to edit is 'PlayerHouseMannequinFemale' Edited March 2, 2016 by freddark
