The latest update is causing Fallout 4 crash while trying to load saved file.

Fallout 4 started to crash with the "Fallout 4 has stopped working" error ever since the most recent update (1.4). It occurs whenever I try to load my game saves while my mods are enabled. However, it will let me start a new game and load some of my older save files. It will also let me load my latest save file when my mods are NOT enabled. All of my mods worked perfectly prior to the update.

I searched for solutions, but I have not had any success. I have verified that the "ini" files were correct, confirmed that the workstation file (under interfaces) was deleted, copied the new fallout.exe to falloutlauncher.exe and verified that my plugins files was correct with read only permissions. I even backed up my data directory, uninstalled then reinstalled the game via steam, and copied the data directory back to the new install. So far nothing seems to work. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

BTW, my specs are i5-3570k (cpu), gtx 970 (gpu), 16GB DDR3 (ram), PNY CS2211 480GB (SSD). I have also attached my loadorder file from Nexus Mod Manager.

First, what do you mean by "copied the new fallout.exe to falloutlauncher.exe"? Not quite following you there...

Second, at a glance your load order looks unsorted. Have you ran LOOT to sort the plugins?

I replaced the launcher with the fallout.exe file.

Yes, I did run Loot. That is the sort order that it applied in Nexus and to my Plugins.txt file. And as I previously mentioned, it worked fine prior to this latest update.

My guess would be that you need to update one or more mods in order to work with the Fallout 4 version 1.4.132. I had to update Homemaker and a few others in order for several workshop menu items to re-appear in build mode.

I read on another forum that Robot Home Defence was incompatible with the new patch. By disabling that and Functional Weapon Racks, as well as uninstalling an obsolete patch for SSeX I was able to get my previous save up and running. After updating f4se, of course. Out of 107 active mods and 74 active plugins, I got lucky on the first shot.

Thanks for the advice. It appears as if Robot Home Defence was causing it to crash. Everything is running perfectly now.
