Long War?

What?!? In EW, it was hard to mod, and only a few people could do it successfully, so one team went and did everything in a coordinated way. For XCOM2, there are already over a thousand different mods available, probably by 800-900 different authors. Given all this variety, why would we try to force everybody to work together on a single mod?

So they make big mod for game with no support for mods and now when is much more easy to do it and most of the game can be modable they get lazy?

I am going to have to second davidallan here with WHAT?

The LW guys are spending a lot of time helping out the modders here on the forums, giving out information and helping to correct mistakes being made with respect to how modding in XCOM 2 works. They have their own project they are working on as well.

Also, don't forget how long it took them to actually create long war. V1.0(no longer beta) was released what, 4 months ago? So 3 years or so in development before they considered it a finished product. THAT THEY ARE NOT PAID FOR. When was the last time you made something for someone you don't know and never met, or even knew existed, spending countless hours of your time, making it the best you can, with no hope for any compensation outside of maybe getting a thank you. Honestly, it has only been 28 days since XCOM 2 released, you need to be a bit more patient if you want something that is basically a complete redesign of the core game.

Also, don't forget Long War team is now LONG WAR STUDIOS, as in, a game development company of their own working on their own Intellectual Property, and despite that, already made three official mods for XCOM 2 at 2K's request, which provided several tutorials, and that Amineri if not others on the team are actively contributing to the modders here helping us learn to use the existing tools and learn the quirks and ins and outs of parts of the system, as Traenol said.

It's not a matter of laziness at all, and this thread reeks of entitlement at this point.
