Consistent CTD and strange FNVEdit errors. Help?

MY game consistently crashes when trying to go to the Thorn. I've even tried it without ANY mods. It worked with a new game so I assume my save is corrupted. How does that happen and how do I prevent my saves from getting corrupted? I really don't want to have to keep starting new games. Especially when I've plugged away the hours on one. Any help would be appreciated.

Also when I load up FNVEdit when it gets to the Honest Hearts part I get a slew of errors that say.

"Background Loader: Error: record WEAP contains unexpected (or out of order) subrecord "

With a bunch of different sub records. Is my Honest Hearts freaking broken? Or is FNVEdit not compatible with HH yet?

I've also got an issue with the immediate opening screen flashing when FNV is started, but as soon as the cursor comes up it stops flashing. I've got all the latest software for my graphics card. There could be so many things wrong with this considering Mass Effect 1 and 2 flash as well in full screen, but not in windowed mode. I'm at a loss as to how many of these are connected and are isolated.

EDIT: I noticed that it is when the area around the Thorn and the West-side entrance fully render. It happens when I'm a certain distance away and scope into view. I watch it start to fully render and then it CTDs. Anybody know what that's about? Could this be about adding new mods to an existing save?

Does HH contain massive duplicated data? Did it come from steam? What are your system specs? How old is your system and what is it?

Is HH the only DLC you have installed? Does the flash occure on a fresh install of just the game, Or is it happening on all games? Answer this list of questions and your pears may answer them for you. This needed information, we are blind with out it. Does HH contain massive duplicated data? Did it come from steam? What are your system specs? How old is your system and what is it?

4 Intel Core i7 950 3.07 GHZ, 12GB Memory, Sapphire Radeon 5970 Dual + latest Catalyst Control Center Software, MB Asus P6X58D

5 Flash occurs on a number of games, but not all. Like I said about Mass Effect 1 & 2

My biggest issue is with CTD trying to go to the Thorn/West-Side entrance near the Thorn. It seems to be an issue when I go near it and it completes its render. I stayed back and used a scope on the area and it CTDs when it tries to complete its rendering.

I want you to launch FNVedit. when it gets to finished , ...Right click HH and scroll down slowly and select "Check for errors" and wait. Because it is a DLC master file , it will take a while and it will appear that it is locked up. It's not. This is normal. If there is a hardware problem, you will get a Blue screen of death. This I have seen now On five machines personally. I wont run HH at all. But. if it does finish, and it is loaded with what I asked, you will have part of you question answered. Is this cool for you?

Lots of errors apparently. I even had Steam verify, but it completed immediately and didn't change anything. If that helps anything.
