Cryovix
I want to preface this by saying this is my first attempt at using NMM so I probably made some basic mistake but I can't seem to figure this out so please be patient with me. I recently installed NMM (0.61.14) because in the past I've manually installed mods but I've got so many now that managing them is a nightmare. For the sake of not messing anything up I deleted Fallout 4 and did a fresh install of it to my D drive to the following location: D:\SteamLibrary\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 I then installed NMM using the following tutorial videos: I followed the instructions exactly placing my Nexus Mod manager in the following file location: D:\Games\Nexus Mod Manager Obviously all mods are going to be in the \Fallout4\ directory so I then proceed to update the Fallout4Custom.ini and Fallout4Prefs.ini which are located in the C drive at the following location: C:\Users\Cryovix\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 I added this to Fallout4Prefs.ini under the [Launcher] section: bEnableFileSelection=1 and Fallout4Custom.ini looks like this: [Display]iLocation X=0iLocation Y=0[Archive]bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal= After doing all of this I started downloading mods and activating them for use in my game and none of them seem to work. I've added the load order for my mods below: Fallout4.esmTrueStormsFO4.espTrueStormsF04-ClimateSettings.espCBBE.espzWGirlClothSimply.espValutGirl.espBetterWeaponModDescriptions.espNoNegativeAffinity.espAnyModAnyWeapon.esp Load order is 00-08 from top to bottom and I also have Vivid Fallout - Landscapes and Color Map 4k With Locations active but they don't show in the plugins list. When I try to lauch FO4 from NMM nothing happens unless I open NMM as an admin which I chock up to Windows 10 but even so none of the installed and active mods show up in game. I've tried adjusting the order, I've tried activating the Color Map and CBBE.esp alone as they should have obvious immediate effects. I've checked the plugins.txt file in the appdata\local\fallout\ folder and All the plugins listed above are listed there in the same order shown here but nothing happens and I honestly have no idea why. I know its a lot of info and I'm sorry for the read but any assistance with this would be very much appreciated. Even the google foo is getting me no where. ddavies10693
Try properly disabling all mods through NMM, and installing just one mod manually again. Any mod you can easily see in game should be fine, like the map mod. it doesn't matter if you intend to keep it, this is just for testing. do that and report back here if it works. It may just be an issue with NMM if you're lucky. It is constantly being updated and changed, and every once in a while, some things can break it for some people. If it does work, turn your mods back on through NMM, and check to make sure the .esps are present in the Data folder within your fallout 4 directory after installing them. matrxhasyou1983
Any chance this is related to how NMM installs mods and having the game directory on a non-standard (C:) drive?
ddavies10693
Try what I said up there ^ I'm trying to help, but i can't if you ignore my suggestions. Any chance this is related to how NMM installs mods and having the game directory on a non-standard (C:) drive? I have my stuff on D and it doesn't affect anything, unless your drives are not properly set up, or they do not have the proper permissions
Cryovix
I did as requested and doing the single mod didn't make the map work. Afterwards I tried turning all of them on and it appears that the .esps are appearing in the data folder. As far as I can figure out everything is working exactly as it should except the mods are not showing up in game. I'm at a complete loss right now. The only other thing I can think of is attempting to install the game on the C drive and see if that makes a difference but the forums seem to indicate that the drive the game and mods are stored on shouldn't have an impact. Any other thoughts?
AlleinSoldat
Good to know I'm not the only one with this issue. It seems there may have been an update recently that knocked out the use of mods???? I have also added each mod in one by one and none of them seem to work. I can tell they are being loaded in because I can do the "help <item> 4" function and see that they are loaded. But, I seem to be having an issue with textures not loading for any of the mods I have placed in my client. Any suggestions?
Mafuyu
I have the exact same issue. Game is installed on D Drive, .esps are in my game data directory, but no mods are showing up in-game and the Add-on list is blank. Edit: Nevermind, just fixed it. Hopefully this solution works for you guys as well: Navigate to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Fallout4 In my case, Plugins.txt was set to Read Only and was not populated with the mods in Loadorder.txt. By disabling the read-only, copying and pasting the contents of the mods in loadorder.txt, saving and setting Plugins.txt back to read-only, I was able to restore my mod functionality in all respects. Zaxen069
I had the same issue then i did a clean install and my mods seem to work now ( I've only installed a few mods with ESP's tho not reinstalling everything till the survival mode update)
AlleinSoldat
I literally just tried this, but it didn't work. I'm going to do the same as Zaxen069 and do a fresh install and take these steps as well. Here's me crossing my fingers and hoping it works. Edit: Well, it seems like it didn't work. My issue might be a little different, because the mod(s) are loading properly, but I do not "see" the item(s) which have been placed in game from the mod when I cheat them in. For example, I have the USP .45 mod by Wretched89 installed, when I go in-game and cheat it in, it shows up in my inventory like it should, but it does not show the gun when I equip it even though it can be used. Please let me know if it doesn't make any sense, and I'll see about getting something to give everyone a better idea of what is going on.
