BSOD on exit

Oblivion runs just fine on my PC, but very often when I quit the game I get a BSOD, saying there was a critical error etc etc. I installed the game just yesterday, but I have played it on this machine before, and I've never had this problem. Anyone experienced something like this? Should I be worried?

While I don't get the infamous BSOD, sometimes it comes up with the "Would you like to inform Microsoft of this problem" with the black of oblivion in the background. As far as I know this is not really a problem, and most likely occurs because the computer has been unable to access something stored in memory to revert to the desktop.

Try running a defrag/disk cleanup, usually helps.

I used to get that ALOT, rather annoying BUT lately my game will just freez my whole Pc when i try to exit oblivion wich baffles me becuz it runz butter smooth most of the time. Also im not mod heavy(just OOO) if i find something ill post or if somebdoy else already knows any info it would help alot.

-quick update my scene has gotten worse, when i want to exit oblivion it always freezes my whole pc now(instead of some times) and it seems the majority of my saves will not load up anymore after each of these crashes(they CTD as soon i try to load them) i have added no new mods still only using OOO and oblivion is patched to the latest update. any info that may shed some light on my problem would be very appreciated.
