We know very little of the min system requirements if anything yet, but the memory amount maybe slightly low and CPU on the lower end of the requirements at a guess, so would proberly run it, just dont expect max bling.

I would recommend an upgrade on RAM. 4 GB of DDR3 would be good, but 6 GB of DDR3 would be great. Since Skyrim is open world like Oblivion, my guess is it will be heavy on the RAM. Edited by skullsy

We have no idea what the requirements are for Skyrim yet but considering the engine is a rehashed version of Gamebryo and looking at other games coming out now and in the near future I can take a pretty good guess at it. Would that rig run Skyrim? Well it likely would if you don't mind the settings turned down to an abysmal level and low frames per second. If you are going for a solid rig to run Skyrim at it's finest along with the other games coming out this holiday expect to drop a pretty penny. I would save my money and wait till early fall to buy a new PC that way you know for sure what you need to be in the market for and the way technology comes and goes what is $1500 today might only be $900 by then.

One more word of advice. Never purchase a PC from a major retailer like Best Buy or Circuit City. The employees often have no idea what they are talking about and you will pay hundreds more than if you where to build it yourself. If you don't know how or feel comfortable trying to build a PC yourself go to a website that specializes in custom gaming PC's like CyberpowerPC or Digital Storm. You will still pay a bit of a premium but they know what they are doing much more so than some guy in a electronics retail outlet.
