pipes1004
Can some one point me to a place were i can get some simple blender training like Blender for Dummy's (I cant afford the crazy thousands of dollar amounts they want for the better programs) . I have used auto CAD for real world machining but can figure out how to use blender there training program is confusing. I have some great mod idea's that I would like to make. PoliteRaider
Have you tried tutorials for it? CreativeBloq has a good list of blender tutorials that range in how much skill/experience they require.
Kikaimegami
There's also Blender Noob to Pro, though I'm unsure how much has been updated for 2.7x since there's been some pretty big changes. I have written some tutorials myself.. but they were with modding Oblivion in mind and desperately need updated :( It really isn't all that difficult to learn, especially if you're used to using the keyboard for hotkeys and commands instead of navigating menus (something I always loved having available in AutoCAD). You can do things in that same crazy fast breakneck speed in Blender once you get used to all the hotkeys, and if you get lost or forget a hotkey, the menus are easy enough to navigate and there is tons of information available online if you get stuck.
