ROLEplaying ideas?

I just started playing a new character, Silian Roscius, an Imperial male. His main skills (if I remember correctly) are sneak, marksman, alchemy, armorer, light armor, athletics and acrobatics. I made a custom class for him, the Hunter.

So, here's my problem: My roleplaying experience is getting a bit boring since everything I ever do is basically hunt wolves for the skin and deer for the meat, skin and antlers. After a busy day of hunting, I return back to my hometown Bravil (WTF Bravil??!!) and sell everything I catch to the shops and inns there. I'm trying to save up the money to buy the little crappy shack there one day (the one that costs 4000 + the furniture). I'm currently sleeping either in the wild or in the Bravil church. :P

What I'm asking you is to come up with some original ideas for a secondary job/hobby to fill my char's day-to-day activities. It wouldn't hurt to get paid for it, considering the house. And I've already completed most of the quests with my previous character (200+ hours of play), so PLEASE don't suggest doing any quests. ;)

That's all, thanks.

You could kill Black Bow Bandits after doing the Mazoga the Orc quest in Leyawiin, and give their bows to the count for some money. Then you have another place to stay as well.

You can hunt them alone, or go with Mazoga.

Thanks for your idea, but I've already completed that quest once. And I'm not sure, but the bows were not worth that much either - 100 septims per bow, was it?

The thing here is that it should be in Bravil or near it. I know, Leyawiin is pretty close, but I'd like to stick to one place. Leyawiin is a beautiful town, but Bravil just fits so well with my humble, not-so-rich hunter guy.

Just out of curiosity to all of you forumers out there, what jobs/hobbies does your character have?

Well I use the crowded roads mod so with my stealthy character I prey on night travelers stalking, killing, and looting them.

With my not so stealthy character I have a not so profitable hobby. I'm currently trying to find all the nirnroots(Don't ask me why because I don't really know...) so far I've gotten 72 + the 100 required to complete the Seeking Your Roots Quest(I think theres like 300 total). It's actually kind of fun you get to travel the wilderness constantly looking at the ground around water and get to fight anything that you may encounter along the way. I constantly find myself in the black wood area since that's where I've found the most nirnroots and sometime those darn will-o-the-wisps get on my nerves.

Sorry but I don't have anything in mind for a hunter type character.

@dyfed_99: Thanks for the links, I d/l'ed both the fisherman mod and the skooma refiner mod. I'm going to test them right away, but I definately like the idea of working as a skooma dealer. :P

@MastrGunZ: I like to collect nirnroots as well. Not because of the quest though (I already completed it with my previous character), but I guess that picking them up whenever I see one just seems to have sticked in. There's something in those things that tells you to pick them.

You might also need to go in the wilderness or elsewhere with this:

or this:

For a possible better hunting experience you might need this one:

if you haven't tried them yet!

But you might become, one day or another, a farmer or a bard or a brewer or a smith with this:

http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=8347 (beware of the bugs though)

or maybe a trapper:

http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=3130

If you like to do the express courier:

Huh, do you like gambling?:

I was forgetting.. maybe you will need a companion or something:

Uhmm.. you may also change armorer skill with illusion.

I know you said you've done quests, but once your of an appropriate level go do hircine. That should be your goal in, game. However, is you go to this (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Oblivion) website, and scroll done the page you can find a few "in-depth guides" one of which beeing roleplaying guide. I would give you a direct link, but the site seems to be down right now.

Yeah that Saviors Hide thing would be perfect for a hunter type character.

Also thanks for the guide linkage.

Thanks dyfed for the links, although I already had a couple of those mods. Thanks to everyone else as well for your suggestions, I decided to go with the skooma business idea, making my own skooma and then selling it forward to the dealer in Bravil. It's been a lot of fun so far. :)
