TiffanyUK Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Hi. Just thought I'd make you aware that the validation email users receive when signing up for the site is incorrect. You are told to go to the following URL, which gives a page not found error message: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?app=core&module=global§ion=register&do=auto_validate&uid=.... You actually need to replace the §ion= part with §ion= and it works fine. The only reason I was able to complete my registration was because I found this topic from 2012 after Googling. It's rather strange this problem still exists 4 years later, but I would imagine it is quite problematic for new users trying to register who do not manage to find the solution to this issue.
millionmiler Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Thank you so much... It was so Frustrating until I read this thread!
bben46 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Good info for those with that problem  That is not something that Nexus does. And is not something that Nexus can fix. The link that Nexus sends is actually correct. It is a BUG that some email providers seem to have inserting that symbol in place of the '&sec' . :wallbash: This actually does not happen to many people at all - or we would not have nearly as many new members signing up daily.
