jonas66
I have a HP Pavilion dv7 notebook that runs an ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5650 GPU Up until last week I was running NV with zero graphics issues, at high settings for gameplay and ultra for screenshots, basically, with no real problems. Then suddenly last thursday, I started my game and the rendering has gone all borked. This is the type of resolution that I was getting:My linkMy link And this is what I'm getting right now. My linkMy link I've googled the problem and looked around a bit. Unfortunately, it seems like most of the solutions given for this type of problem are either older and obsolete now, or I'm missing something, because they aren't fixing it. I've updated the video card drivers, tried the two dll file fixes on the nexus, and it's not working. Does anybody have experience with this, or know of a solution? The only thing I can think of is that I ran a few system updates around the time it started to screw up. I tried a system restore, but that didn't do any good. I don't think it changed anything, and it gave me a message that there was an issue with the restore.
McclaudEagle
The only time I noticed my image go blurry was when I turned Anisotropic Filtering fairly high in the Catalyst Control Center (ATI). Not sure if it was this blurry though. Nevertheless, might as well take a look if you can.

Don't know what it was, but I went into the control center and restored the factory default settings, and that actually appears to have fixed the problem. Dunno which setting got fouled up, as I hadn't changed anything. Oh well. :(
CausticRKS
I regretted getting Radeon for my card. They seem to have A LOT of compatibility issues with all sorts of stuff. Especially with modeling programs. I guess nvidia really IS the way it's meant to be played. Ugh :/

dubiousintent
Please note the date of the previous post, and see the Nexus "Terms of Service" about not resurrecting old threads. The primary reason is that the original thread participants are seldom still around, and it is unlikely that you have exactly the same setup (especially 7 years later). Details matter. If you want help instead of just venting, Please provide ALL the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article. Don't forget to identify things that do not appear in the "load order", such as if you are using a "regional language version" of the game; using the FNV4GB Patch, NVSE and it's related plugins; replacements for textures (specifically their larger image sizes: 1024x1024, etc.), animations, or "bodies", etc.; and "post-processors" like ENB or SweetFX. It saves us playing "20 questions" and gets you a more specific answer more quickly. (The usual turn-around on post and reply in an older game forum is 24 hours.)-Dubious-
