I've been at it for hours but the bugger won't work. I hate Nifscope!

If I give someone the dds textures and obj's can someone convert it all to nif for me please?

So I take it your having difficulties in the actual setup of the object in question? What exactly are you trying to get into Nifskope? I have numerous Nifskope editing tutorials that I have not really found a place to post but whenever someone needs help I usually link them.

Give a quick description of what your trying to get into the game and I will see if I am able to help you. I do a lot of weapon mods but I do not do any animation or clothing mods so I cannot help with that but I can with most other things.

Well what I've done is attached a gas mask to the original combat helmet. But, the bloody nifscope won't load the textures and when I try loading the nif in the geck it comes up with the Error Mark... (the textures load in 3DS) It sounds lazy of my asking someone to do it but I've spent hours fiddling with hex edit and everything : (

Yes 3ds has nifscripts available to export .nifs. From what I can tell though they do not work on the 64bit versions (not for me anyway).

@ TheLozza - How did you attach the mask, by exporting the helmet from nifskope, then attaching it in 3ds max? If so just select the mesh then export as either .3ds or as .obj, nifskope loads them both.

Try it anyway, export it from 3DS as a nif, then copy the nitrishapes, paste that into a vanilla mesh. Like the combat helmet, you would copy the branch for the main shape in the vanilla combat helmet, then paste that branch on the root, which duplicates that basic branch, then you paste in the clean nitrishapes data from your dirty as heck post edit mesh into the vanilla mesh. It's going to cover the whole head, so set it up in GECK to replace the head an you can base the editing off making it larger than say the ranger headgear which does the same thing. Sounds lame, I'd get blender.

I'll try the plugin for 3DS. Also, what I did was export both meshes (gas mask and combat helmet) into OBJ. Then drag and dropped in 3DS to get the two meshes together. If you could have a look at the files that would be great!!!
