berry91 Posted May 30, 2011 Share Posted May 30, 2011 Hey guys, I'm fairly new to modding so im currently doing it at the best of my abilities. After some practice I decided to start a little plugin of my own. The idea is to expand The Pitt in a sense that one can roam through it like the Capital Wasteland and Point Lookout, making it more playable. I'm not planning on editing areas like Haven, Uptown, Downtown and stuff, or at least not at this point. The idea is merely to add more streets of Post-Apoc Pittsburg and filling it with camps of wildmen, trogs and Raiders(perhaps hostile Pitt raiders). I don't really have a lot of time to work on this mod so it could be a while before it will be fully playable. I very rarely go back to the Pitt because its all been looted and no one talks to me. Everyone is still doing the same thing as before the quest, you would think things would become more relaxed after the slaves are released but they just keep on doing the same old drudgery. Re-spawning of enemies and loot in some areas would be good. Give me a reason to go back to the Pitt, you make no friends no companions nothing to go back for. Currently I'm rebuilding the static around the bridge so the player can roam freely on the opposite river bank of Downtown/Uptown etc. (DLCPittWorld). Im aiming to give the player a new experience in the outskirts of Pittsburgh and in the future to be able to use the destroyed highway bridge to enter a different part of downtown Pittsburgh. As for the NPC's and quests, I was thinking about adding Raider groups, Trogs and a new faction consisting of remnant Brotherhood paladins. I'll have to look into that later on as I haven't got any experience in making NPC's and quests yet. I'll post some pictures soon to give you an idea of what's to come. I keep getting warning reports that barely make any sense to me about nif and stuff. UPDATE: yeah i can NOT fix this. GECK seems horribly instable and i seem to be one of 3 people who've had this issue. Unfortunatly the solutions for them are of no use to me. berry91 Posted June 5, 2011 Author Share Posted June 5, 2011 Alright, cool :) The idea is to expand the suburbs to the south-east of 10th Street Bridge. I've created some new scol objects to make it feature a bit more of a unique area. Also, to maintain the 'The Pitt feeling' some factories will be placed in the area. I'll need realistic-spaced interior areas for some of the factories.
